I'm an associate editor at Outside magazine, where I mostly edit (and occasionally write) stories about health, wellness, running, and fitness.

Before this, I was a freelance journalist in Washington, DC. My work has appeared (online or in print) in: The Atlantic, Outside magazine, National Journal magazine, The New Republic, The Columbia Journalism Review, New York mag's "Science of Us" blog, The Boston Globe Magazine, Boston magazine, and elsewhere. I graduated from Tufts University, where I was the editor-in-chief of the Tufts Observerthe school's oldest publication.

I'm a washed-up college cross country and track runner, and in my spare time I run entirely too much. You can find me by the coffee.
