I'm a senior editor at Outside magazine, where I mostly edit stories about health, wellness, running, and fitness. I regularly edit In Stride, our running column; and Sweat Science, Alex Hutchinson’s column about the science of endurance. Some other stories I’ve edited live here.
Before Outside, I was a freelance journalist in Washington, D.C. I still write occasionally, and my work has appeared online or in print in: The Atlantic, Outside magazine, National Journal magazine, The New Republic, The Columbia Journalism Review, New York mag's "Science of Us" blog, and elsewhere. I graduated from Tufts University, where I was the editor-in-chief of the Tufts Observer, the school's oldest publication.
I'm a washed-up college cross country and track runner, and in my spare time I run entirely too much. You can find me by the coffee.
